“She Is 50, Not 15”

Speaking about his daughter’s decision, Charly Boy questioned why anyone should expect him to control the life of a woman who is already 50 years old.

According to him, his responsibility as a father is to advise his daughter and express his opinion, rather than attempt to control her decisions.

“How you wan tell 50-year-old woman how to live her life? At that age, she don live enough life to know herself.

“As a father, I fit advise. I fit talk my mind. But I no get remote control for another adult’s life.”

“Who Am I to Control Her Life?”

He said that experience has influenced his approach to parenting and his belief that adults should ultimately have the freedom to make their own life choices.

“My own father couldn’t stop me from becoming Charlyboy, the man I wanted to become.

“So who am I to stand in front of my daughter and try to control the life she has chosen for herself?”

“I wish her happiness. I wish everybody happiness. At the end of the day, na love remain.”

A Father’s Perspective

Charly Boy’s comments have reignited conversations about parenting, personal freedom and the extent to which parents should influence the decisions of their adult children.
