Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has opened up about her marriage to singer, politician, and pastor Banky W, revealing how their love has continued to grow stronger over the years.
Speaking in a recent interview hosted by Teju Babyface, Adesua shared a surprising detail about her initial expectations before marriage.
“I Didn’t Want to Marry a Musician, Pastor or Politician”
According to Adesua, she once made it clear in her prayers that she didn’t want to marry someone in any of those professions.
“Before I met my husband, I told God I didn’t want to marry a musician, a pastor or a politician, but God gave me all three.”

How Banky W Knew She Was His Wife
On his part, Banky W revealed that he had long believed Adesua was his destined partner, even when she initially turned him down.
“Adesua called me on the phone one day and said, ‘Banky, you know you’re my husband right?’”
He explained that he had been convinced for over a year but patiently waited for her to come to the same realization.

Banky W noted that Adesua’s eventual confirmation strengthened his belief, and the couple moved forward with their relationship, leading to marriage.
