Nigerian Afro-house singer Niniola has announced the heartbreaking death of her husband, Michael Ndika. The Grammy-nominated artiste shared the emotional news in a series of touching posts on her Instagram Story in the early hours of Wednesday, leaving fans and supporters shocked and saddened.

Michael Ndika, who reportedly served as the Chief Executive Officer of NaijaReview — a multimedia platform dedicated to Afro-house and contemporary African music — was confirmed dead by the singer, although the exact cause and circumstances surrounding his passing have not yet been made public.
In one of the emotional posts, Niniola simply wrote:

“My husband died.”
The singer also reflected on the years they spent together, writing:
“God took him. 13 years. 13 f***ing years.”
The emotional tribute was accompanied by photos of the couple, showing moments from their long-term relationship.
Known for keeping her personal life away from public attention, Niniola has rarely spoken openly about her marriage or family life on social media, making the announcement even more emotional for fans.
The 39-year-old singer rose to national fame after emerging as one of the standout contestants on Project Fame West Africa in 2013. Since then, she has built a successful music career and established herself as one of Nigeria’s leading Afro-house artistes.
Her 2017 hit single Maradona became a major breakthrough record, earning international recognition and attracting praise from global music stars including DJ Snake, Drake, Timbaland and Beyoncé.
